It grows beyond forecasts industrial production German which, in the month of January, recorded an increase of 3,3% compared to last December, driven by the growth in domestic demand. For production, this is the first increase recorded in three months and a figure well above the expectations of analysts, who had forecast a limited rebound of +0,5%.
In December, according to the Federal Statistical Office destiny, production had recorded a cyclical downturn of 0,3%. On an annual basis, however, the increase in January was 2,2%.
The growth compared to December was mainly driven by the +7% recorded by construction in January, while the production of capital goods increased by 5,3% and consumer goods by 3,7%.
