Germany, GDP growth forecasts down in 2012 and 2013

Germany revises its GDP growth forecasts for 2012 and 2013 downwards. According to the Berlin Economic Research Institute (DIW) the growth rate of the German economy will be less than 1% this year, 0,9% to be precise, whereas previously it was calculated just around the percentage point. The forecast for the GDP of the following year, 2013, is also significantly lower: from 1,9% initially estimated to 1,6%.

The crisis is therefore also being felt in Germany, despite the fact that the economic system still registers the "plus" sign and is by far the best in Europe. However, there are signs of a slowdown: growth was 0,5% in the first quarter, falling to 0,3% in the second quarter.
