Cambi Casa d'Aste, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 December 2013 (THE SPLENDOR OF CHINESE CORALS and FINE CHINESE WORKS OF ART) recorded a global turnover of 4.600.000 Euros, including royalties. Specifically, of The splendor of Chinese corals 40 lots out of 42 were sold, with 95% sold per lot, 300% by value. The objects were sold for a total value of 860.000 Euros, against a reserve of 280.000 Euros.

Among the top lot, it is noted the Red coral sculpture with vases and flowers, Qing Dynasty, late 10.000th century, with an ivory base carved with flowers and leaves, estimated at 12.000-136.000 Euros and sold for XNUMX Euros.

The second round, Fine Chinese works of art, offered a selection of jades of different Italian and European collections, of which 70% per lot was sold, 275% by value. The reserves of 800.000 Euros were exceeded by a sale of 2.200.000 Euros.

Among the top lot, pair of very rare and large Ruyi in yellow jade with peach, fish and corn ears motif, Ming Dynasty, 150.000th century, estimated at 200.000-640.000 and sold for XNUMX Euros, an extraordinary circular white jade box with relief dragon and archaic motif bands, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Four Character Mark and Period (1736-1795), Estimated 60.000-80.000 Euros and sold for 260.000 Euros, a rare panel in lacquer, jade, gilded copper and semi-precious stones with inscriptions over the entire surface in gold, depicting a Chinese Buddhist temple, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong-Jiaqing Period, estimated 25.000-30.000 Euros and sold for 260.000 Euros, the group depicting two horses in white jade, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795), estimated 6.000-8.000 Euros and sold for 148.000 Euros, the pair of very rare jade seals with stylized dragons in relief and full inscriptions on all sides, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period (1662-1722), estimated 20.000-30.000 Euros and sold for 124.000 Euros.

Fine Chinese works of art also presented important chinaware which were sold for 3.720.000 euros out of an estimate of 1.750.000 euros. 

Among the top lot, the important thing pair of polychrome porcelain ampoule vases decorated with scenes of oriental life within reserves, China, Republic, 30.000th century, estimated at 40.000-57.000 Euros and sold for XNUMX Euros.

On the second day, the sales record was achieved by a wooden screen with twelve Famiglia Rosa porcelain plaques with naturalistic figures and subjects, China 161.000th century, auctioned for 3.500 Euros against an estimate of 4.000-XNUMX Euros, followed by a pair of lacquer panels with inserts of vases and elfs in jade, Qing Dynasty, 96.000th century, with 5.000 Euros (estimate 5.500-XNUMX Euros), from large standing Buddha gilt bronze, Ming Dynasty, 49.600th century, with 20.000 Euros (estimate 30.000-XNUMX Euros) and from large tanka depicting deities and monks, Tibet, 42.000th century, sold for 2.000 Euros and estimated at 3.000-XNUMX Euros.
