Assicurazioni Generali announces that it has completed the sale of its businesses in Panama and Colombia. These operations, anticipated during the second half of 2017, fall within the scope of "the strategy of optimizing the geographical presence and improving operational efficiency and capital allocation", the Leone company said in a note.
The total consideration for these two transactions is approximately 170 million euro.
Going into detail, the activities in Panama were sold to ASSA Compañía de Seguros, while the investment in Colombia was sold to the Talanx Group.
The Generali Group – continues the note – “will remain operational in both countries through its Global Business Lines, i.e. Generali Employee Benefits, Generali Global Corporate & Commercial and Generali Global Health, as well as through the operations of the Europ Assistance group”.
