Generali-Telepass: automatic toll reimbursement, here's how

Agreement between Generali Italia and Telepass for a service of toll refund motorway which will use Telepass technology and the big data and analytics skills of Generali Italia. 

Going into detail, in the event of significant delays on the network and slowdowns due to accidents, Telepass customers enabled for the new service and who have already purchased the Roadside Assistance package will be able to receive a reimbursement equal to 50% of the toll value, with automatic re-credit to the Telepass account.

Motorists will see the refund directly on the Telepass app. The service is already active for the over 200 customers who have subscribed to the European Roadside Assistance offer over the years.

“The initiative presented today is the first of those envisaged by the partnership signed by the two companies and which focuses on technological innovation, making it possible to apply cashback, totally data-driven and with automatic reimbursement thanks to the advanced Telepass payment circuit , to offer its customers a smart, personalized and convenient experience, in favor of more sustainable mobility in Italy”, the two companies say in a joint note. 

The agreement between Telepass and Generali Italia also plans to develop further areas of collaboration. By the end of the year, the Generali Italia Agencies will have the opportunity to offer their customers an exclusive telematic offer, based on the new Telepass T-Next: a device capable of providing both the IoT services of Generali Jeniot and the advanced services of Telepass, such as those related to mobile payments (e.g. motorway tolls, parking, road tax, refueling), but also when entering Area C in Milan and washing one's car "near the house", offered by Wash Out (a company Telepass group).
