Generali is confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Generali confirms its presence within the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (for the third year) and in Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index (for the second time). A recognition that bears witness to the Group's commitment to economic, environmental and social issues.

Generali is the first European integrated insurer to have issued a green bondsas well as one of the first to define a climate strategy to support a just transition, able to combine climate action and worker protection in the sectors most affected by decarbonisation. Focusing on the needs of stakeholders, solid governance and integrated reporting have produced sustainable innovation over time.

Furthermore, the Group has for some time been adopting responsible investment criteria, selecting issuers for its direct investments also on the basis of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and thanks to social and environmental products, moreover, it helps to direct customer choices towards more sustainable behaviour.

These results are the result of a corporate culture that focuses on the needs of stakeholders, especially customers, rewards excellence and promotes the inclusion of diversity as a lever for innovation.
