Generali, appointments in wealth management

The changes are in the Group Chief Insurance & Investment function and in the Asset & Wealth Management business unit: Francesco Martorana, Bruno Servant and Tim Rainsford have been appointed.

Generali announces new appointments in the Group Chief Insurance & Investment function and in the Asset & Wealth Management business unit. Effective March 1, Francis Martorana holds the new role of Group Chief Investment Officer of Assicurazioni Generali SpA In his new position, Martorana reports to Sandro Panizza, Group Chief Insurance & Investment Officer, with the responsibility of directing, coordinating and monitoring all investment activities on the Group's insurance portfolios.

Since 2019 Francesco Martorana has held the position of CEO of Generali Insurance Asset Management SpA Savings management company (GIAM). Previously, from 2017 he was Head of Investments in Generali Investments Europe and joined the Generali Group in 2013 as Head of Group Asset Liability Management & Strategic Asset Allocation. Before Generali, he held various roles in Allianz, both in Italy and in Germany.

Furthermore, starting from March 1st, Bruno Servant holds the position of CEO of Generali Insurance Asset Management SpA Asset management company, within the Asset & Wealth Management business unit led by Carlo Trabattoni. Servant will be responsible for developing investment solutions for the Group's insurance companies as well as for third party insurance operators and pension funds.

Bruno Servant joined the Generali Group in 2012 as CIO of Generali France and since 2018 he has also held the position of Head of Group Investment Management Solutions. Previously he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of UBS Global AM France and CEO of Deutsche Asset Management France.

Within the Asset & Wealth Management business unit, starting from April 15, Tim Rainsford is appointed CEO of Generali Investments Partners Asset management company. Rainsford, who will retain his role as Global Head of Sales of Generali Investments Partners, will be responsible for product management and sales within the business unit, leveraging the Group's multi-boutique approach.

Tim Rainsford joined Generali Investments Partners in September 2020 as Global Head of Sales. Previously he held the role of Group Head of Distribution and Marketing for GAM Investments and, before that, he worked for thirteen years at Man Investments Ltd.

Another novelty concerns Christian Borean, since 2018 CFO of the Generali Group, who becomes the new President of MIB Trieste School of Management. Borean, Physics graduate, succeeds Aldo Minucci.
