Generali has announced that it has appointed Luca Cetrano new Group Chief Investment Officer, effective January 1st
June 2026, reporting to Group General Manager Marco Sesana. In his role, Luca Cetrano is responsible for directing, coordinating, and monitoring all investment activities relating to the Group's insurance portfolios. Cetrano joined Generali Investments in 2012, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, first as Quantitative Portfolio Manager (for 6 years) and subsequently as Head of Asset Allocation & Quantitative Strategies (for 4 years).
In 2021 he moved to Assicurazioni Generali as Head of Portfolio Construction and Tactical Asset Allocation, before extending his responsibilities to include the Group's Strategic Asset Allocation and Holding Investments Portfolio in 2023. Prior to 2012, Cetrano worked as a portfolio manager and interest rate derivatives trader in both Italy and the United Kingdom.
From an academic point of view, he achieved a Master's Degree in Finance with honors from the University of Trento and an Executive Master in Insurance and Finance.
