On Tuesday 9 February, Generali's board of directors will meet to decide who will succeed Mario Greco at the helm of the group. The most probable name is that of Philippe Donnet, today CEO of Generali Italia, while the reissue of a double guide with two ads as in the past is losing ground, a hypothesis that Ivass has discreetly let it be known that it does not like in the name of clearer governance .
The probable appointment of Donnet, strongly supported by the head of Vivendi Vincent Bollorè, will dissolve the relationship with Greco, who will be the new CEO of Zurich in Switzerland from May. His contract expires on April 18, but given the differences with the partners in recent days, an early exit is likely.
Together with the appointment of Donnet as head of the company, the board should give new powers to CFO Alberto Minali.
As for the presidency, the predictions of the last few hours bet on the confirmation of Gabriele Galateri, even if some shareholders have circulated the name of the former CEO of ENI, Paolo Scaroni, who has however called himself out.
