Generali Italia, rearranged from 6 October

From the 6 October Generali Italy will change face. The group's board of directors today approved an organizational reorganization which envisages the creation of three new areas in the technical-insurance field: Life & Employee Benefits, entrusted to Andrea Mencattini, former CEO of Alleanza Assicurazioni; Property & Casualty, which will be led by Mauro Montagnini; finally Claims, whose income Massimo Monacelli will keep, who thus becomes part of the group.

Furthermore, a new area that will be entrusted to Stefano Gentili will unify the marketing and distribution activities. Bruno Scaroni, current manager of the distribution area, is leaving the Italian perimeter and will cover "an important position within the group", reads the note. Davide Passero will be the new CEO of Alleanza and will be replaced by Manlio Lostuzzi as CEO of Genertel/Genertellife.

A few minutes after the close of trading, the Generali share on the Stock Exchange gained 0,3%, a 16,24 euro.
