Generali Italia: new organization, focus on Global Business Lines

The reorganization of Generali Italia will be operational from 1 September and above all calls for greater attention to international development - Here are the new appointments.

More agile and faster to respond to the renewed needs of customers and a greater focus on the international development of the corporate business. These are the objectives underlying the reorganization of Generali Italia, which envisages: greater integration between Generali Country Italia and the Global Business Lines; the creation of a Strategy & Business Development function for the corporate segment; and enhancement of the skills of group managers.  

For greater entrepreneurship of the business, the new organization provides, reporting of Marco Sesana, the creation of transversal functions for Country Italy and the Global Business Lines in the Finance areas, entrusted to Giancarlo Fancel, Legal, entrusted to Cristina Rustignoli, Human Resources, entrusted to Gianluca Perin, and Communication and Sustainability, entrusted to Lucia Sciacca.  

For a greater boost on the business for international companies, the Strategy & Business Development function was created with the head Sergio DiCaro, which boasts extensive international experience.  

Paul Ribotta va the Generali Employee Benefits guide, which integrates Generali Global Health, with the aim of strengthening market leadership in the employee benefit sector for multinational companies and developing the Health business relating to people with strong international mobility.  

Manlio Lostuzzi, with extensive international experience gained as Group Life, Non-Life and Reinsurance Technical Manager, hires the leadership of Global Corporate & Commercial, with the aim of developing the business model in a homogeneous manner on the markets. Maurice Pescarini, current CEO of Generali Turkey, who boasts extensive international experience in both the banking and insurance sectors, will be the new CEO of Genertel and GenertelLife. 

Finally, the coordinated supervision of the various units of business and the management of relations with a technical-insurance content with the Institutions and Trade Associations are entrusted to Andrea Mencattini. The Proxies of Generali Welion will be assigned ad interim to the President Gianluca Perin and to the Chief Executive Officer Paolo De Santis. The reorganization will be effective from 1 September.
