Generali Italy active solidarity protection, a new campaign to raise awareness, prevent and support the risks and consequences of natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, water bombs).
The company will set up a fund by donating up to 6 euros for each subscription of a "solidarity policy". The sums raised will be used in future reconstruction projects of works damaged by natural events.
In Italy today 35% of homes are located in areas with the highest seismic hazard and the percentage rises to almost 55% when flood risk is considered.
rOverall, 78% of homes are exposed to a high or medium-high risk between earthquake and flood. However, in our country the adoption of policies to cover natural catastrophes is still very limited, just 2% of private homes and only the 5% of condominiums.
