Generali Italia launches hackathon on diversity and inclusion in the company

Full inclusion of women in professional growth paths, enhancement of different generations, cultures and disabilities are the themes of the marathon of ideas involving 120 participants.

Develop innovative and concrete ideas to spread the culture of inclusiveness, because differences, starting from those of gender, are a heritage to be valued and an engine for innovation. Generali Italia kicks off Generali Hackathon – Diversity & Inclusion, the first ideas marathon in Italy, 12 hours of non-stop work, on the issues of diversity and inclusion in the company, organized together with H–Farm and promoted by Elle Active !.

The Generali Hackathon – Diversity & Inclusion will reward the best ideas, one for each challenge, judging the level of innovation, feasibility, effectiveness. The five winning projects will be presented on Saturday 11 November at the ELLE ACTIVE Forum! Activate the Change, promoted by Hearst Italia's monthly Elle. What distinguishes this Generali Hackathon is the presence, among the 120 participants, of employees and collaborators of other important corporate realities who, working together with the people of Generali Italia, Alleanza, Genertel and Genertellife, will also bring their point of view, enriching new visions and contributions the marathon of ideas on the 5 important topics in the field of Diversity & Inclusion:

– Engagement: keep people's motivation and engagement high throughout their working career;

– HR Processes: manage the various moments of the employee experience, in order to select and promote people fairly, ensuring everyone has the same access opportunities;

– Mindset and Organization: promote the development of inclusive organizational models and a leadership style that values ​​differences and neutralizes mechanisms of "exclusion";

– New ways of working: create the conditions to better manage one's activities, one's time and one's skills;

– Experiencing parenthood: promoting the dissemination of a culture of parenthood as an aspect of life capable of generating benefits for both individuals and organizations.
