Generali Italia launches GeneraValore

The new investment insurance solution is born, in synergy with Banca Generali, to seize the growth opportunities of the new global trends - Roadshow kicks off with over 5.000 agents for highly specialized training. Involved international managers such as Morgan Stanley and Black Rock.

In a context of persistently low interest rates, Generali Italia launches GeneraValore, the new insurance investment solution to capture the opportunities of the megatrends that are characterizing the development of the global economy.

GeneraValore enriches the company's hybrid offer, targeting customers with a greater propensity for risk and reconciling the performance potential of the stock markets with the stability of separate management. The equity component will be invested in shares of companies for which demographic changes, new business models and socially responsible investments represent development priorities.

Marco Sesana, country Mmanager and CEO of Generali Italia said: “With GeneraValore we complete our offer of hybrid investment solutions, responding to every customer need. 5.000 agents and consultants are involved in a road show with top-level international investors, an innovation in the way of training insurance networks, to increase the level of consultancy capacity towards customers. The new offer and the consultancy capacity of our networks are the drivers for achieving the goal of completing the transition to the hybrid catalog by the end of 2018. The strategic actions already undertaken have already allowed us in June 2017 to double the new hybrid production compared to the first half 2016, exceeding 60% of the total collection”.

The objective of GeneraValore is to combine the search for yield and the control of portfolio stability in a virtuous way. The single premium paid by the investor is initially divided equally between an equity multi-segment component and the Gesav Separate Management, which is characterized by continuity and solidity of returns with the aim of providing stability to the invested capital. GeneraValore is proposed for a long investment horizon. When signing up for the contract, the policyholder can choose between two multi-sector components: Challenge and Challenge Plus.

The new multi-compartment lines

The multi-compartment lines, selected with the support and experience of Banca Generali which will monitor the analysis of their balances in the portfolio, represent a latest generation investment solution consisting of 4 strategies. The first three are thematic equities. From a long-term perspective, the managers invest in the equity markets in an innovative way and "capture" growth through investments in specific "trends":

  • demographic changes with particular attention to stocks from emerging countries characterized by strong population growth dynamics and to those of companies that respond to the new consumption needs of the younger generation (millennials) or the elderly especially, for the latter, in terms of services dedicated to them (Silver Age);
  • new business models in which innovation represents the differential factor on which to focus, especially in small and medium capitalization companies active in the new frontiers of technology and artificial intelligence;
  • socially responsible investments, which now account for 15% of total managed assets worldwide, due to the growing attention of governments and public opinion towards investments that are attentive to the responsible use of resources, the problems posed by climate change, the value corporate social.

The three equity strategies are dynamically rebalanced with a “Risk Parity” model, an algorithm that measures and periodically allocates the risk among the various "themes".

The fourth strategy also contributes to containing volatility within the desired limits, which is activated to protect the portfolio in the event of sudden declines in share prices.

GeneraValore is completed by the management and protection services available to investors to consolidate and transfer to separate management, for example, the capital gains obtained in the multi-segment line (Consolida service), or to liquidate the same capital gains when they reach a certain amount (Recreate service) or for automatic redemptions planned after the age of 55 (Plan service), an effective tool for reducing the capital set aside.

Finally, the subscriber can add complementary protection coverage (in the event of predecease) for himself or his loved ones.
