Generali Italia, the job is directly “designed” by the candidate

From Gamification, which allows candidates to find positions consistent with their skills and interests, to the e-room which allows candidates to show their relational aptitudes. These are some of the best prototypes selected at the “Candidate Journey Contest” by Generali Italia which concluded with the awarding of the winning team at the Generali Hadid Tower in Milan.

The Digital Contest, which kicked off on 22 September 2019, was born with the idea of giving life to the "candidate journey" in an innovative digital environment where the company and the candidates establish a winning relationship for both.

Over 300 participants from universities throughout Italy – between technology enthusiasts, with design, graphics, marketing, communication, social media, human resources, project management or business analysis skills – faced each other in a 12-week online challenge.

Each team was able to create a prototype thanks to the design thinking methodology, over 30 training modules on the major trends of the digital age – created by the Generali Academy which recently obtained Asfor certification – and the constant support of 20 business transformation, digital innovation and big data experts.

It was he who won the challenge the “Ready Sauces” team composed by Andrea Lela, Chiara Girardini and Andrea Ardovini: a study trip to the Silicon Valley of San Francisco is up for grabs.

The winning project involves the “development of a system of filters and intelligent search to profile candidates and suggest them positions consistent with their skills, interests, data and personality (identified through tests). The application process is fast and personalized according to the ideal position and also includes a gamification process. Unselected candidates will be able to log in Generali Talent Farm where they will have access to certified training courses, they will be able to register for hackathons, digital contests, participate in surveys and preview new job positions by setting personalized notifications".

The initiative is part of the Compagnia's broader acceleration process based on simplification and innovation towards an agile, modern and innovative organizational model, for this reason Generali Italia also wanted to redesign the candidate journey, to make it more effective and in line with today's reality.
