Generali, Galateri confirmed as president

Gabriele Galateri of Generali remains in the presidency of the Lion of Trieste: this is what emerges from the list presented by mediobanca with the support of the other shareholders for the renewal of the board in the meeting of 28 April - The board of directors rises from 11 to 13 members in the sign of continuity: it will be the first meeting of Philippe Donnet in the role of CEO

Gabriele Galateri remains president of Generali with Philippe Donnet as group CEO. This is what emerges from the list presented by Mediobanca and the other large shareholders for the renewal of the board at the shareholders' meeting of 28 April, the first in which Donnet will present himself as number one of the Lion of Trieste.

The new board, which rises from 11 to 13 members, will be in the name of continuity. In addition to Galateri, the two vice-presidents Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone, who has just strengthened his position with the purchase of new shares, and Clemente Rebecchini will also be confirmed.

Lorenzo Pelliccioli, Ornella Barra, Alberta Figari and Sabrina Pucci were also confirmed on the board. Among the new entries Romolo Bardin (CEO of Delfin, the holding company of Leonardo Del Vecchio), Paolo Di Benedetto (former Consob commissioner) and Diva Moriani (vice president of Intek and CEO of Kme). Della Penna and Dattilo, who occupy the last two places on the list, will probably give way to the minority directors.

Instead, Flavio Cattaneo, appointed two days ago as the new CEO of Telecom Italia, and Jean Renè Fortou, the former president of Vivendi who had entered the board in Bollorè's place, are leaving the board.

Roberto Perotti should enter Assogestioni and Paola Sapienza should be confirmed.
