Generali and Microsoft, partnership on Business Digital Transformation

The collaboration will allow Generali and Microsoft to strengthen their leadership positions in their respective business areas through a shared program focused on the digital transformation of the Customers, Employees and Distribution experience, operational efficiency and product innovation.

Il Generali Group and Microsoft announce a Business Digital Transformation agreement, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of Generali's employees, agents and partners, improving operating processes and increasing revenues, thanks to new insurance products and innovative business models.

The partnership will focus on:

1. Digital workplace: the main objective will be to identify an innovative platform that allows all employees to take advantage of a coherent experience in the working environment, using the most advanced existing services for collaboration and communications. This partnership will give impetus to the "Generali New Way of Working", an open and flexible platform that will make it possible to achieve operational excellence both in back office activities and in sales and customer assistance activities.

2. Customer Centric new business: the main objective will be to leverage Microsoft's social activity analysis capabilities to interact in the best possible way with potential Generali customers through tailor-made offers, the creation of new communication channels to improve the customer experience and make interaction with the company effective and efficient by designing innovative "Smart Contract" insurance products inspired by the "Blockchain" paradigm and which exploit the cloud and artificial intelligence.

3. Connected Insurance business platform: the main objective will be to create an integrated digital platform through which partners can interact with Generali to provide a better service to customers in the context of Connected Insurance.
