With the acceleration of digital transformation there has been an increase in the digital crimes. The new collaboration between Generali Italy e Cisco was born with the aim of offering customers dedicated insurance solutions and advanced cybersecurity technologies provided by the Cisco Umbrella platform.

Under the agreement, for Generali Italia customers insured with Cyber ​​Lion – or who intend to subscribe to it by July 2022 – the solution that protects companies and professionals from IT risks, it will be possible to access the Cisco Umbrella platform for 3 months free of charge.

On the other hand, Cisco customers protected by Cisco Umbrella will receive a 25% discount on the Cyber ​​Lion coverage premium, corresponding to 3 free months of coverage out of 12 months of total duration (again by July 2022).

In particular, Cisco Umbrella offers features that allow you to prevent and block attacks of all kinds, inside and outside the corporate network, including in the protection also connected work tools such as PCs and smartphones, and to quickly identify infected devices and avoid the theft of data.

Furthermore, Cisco Umbrella is also able to block the so-called "zero day attacks", ie carried by malware against which traditional security solutions are less effective. These functions make the solution completely different from a common antivirus.

Cyber ​​Lion, on the other hand, is Generali Italia's insurance solution that protects businesses and professionals from cyber attacks. Helps you get back to business quickly with first responder services along with “basic” protection against damage, costs and financial loss caused by attacks. Finally, with Cyber ​​Lion the customer can include in his coverage the per diem from business interruption in the event of a cyber attack, civil liability for damages unintentionally caused to third parties by the attack suffered as well as legal protection.
