Generali and Allianz invest in the Atlante fund

The Lion of Trieste puts 150 million euros on the plate, while the Italian subsidiary of the German giant will participate in the new vehicle with an investment of 100 million.

Even the main insurance companies invest in Atlante, the (almost) entirely private system fund that is being created to help Italian banks with capital increases and the management of non-performing loans.

Generali will invest 150 million euros in the Atlante Fund: the decision to participate was taken by the company's board of directors which met yesterday afternoon in Milan.

Allianz Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the German insurance giant, will also participate in the Atlante Fund with an investment of 100 million euros, after having positively evaluated the new vehicle both in terms of risk and profitability.

Moreover, the group has always looked closely at the Italian market, which is its second market and in which it is a long-term investor, also in infrastructure projects.

At the beginning of the month, for example, the announcement of the investment for a total of 400 million euros by Allianz Global Investors on behalf of Allianz Italia and other entities of the group in the project bond from the European Investment Bank for the refinancing of the Mestre motorway bypass.
