The insurance group, with the support of Microsoft and Copernico, has launched the Generali Innovation Challenge, a call for startups ready to develop their projects - Enel is also active on the startup front with the launch of the second edition of the INCENSe accelerator.

Generali e Microsoft together for the innovative startups. In fact, the insurance group has launched the Generali Innovation Challenge, the first call aimed at startups ready to develop their innovations organized with the support of Microsoft and Copernico.

The initiative demonstrates Generali's interest in the community of innovators, startuppers and entrepreneurs capable of generating ideas and technical solutions that can respond to the new needs of an economic sector, that of the insurance market, which is experiencing a profound moment of discontinuity.

An attention that has earned Generali the inclusion by MIT in the list of the 50 "smartest companies" worldwide. The objective of the Generali innovation challenge is to find innovative solutions to concrete business problems and test the methodology of the call. 

The winners of the competition will have the support of Generali and Microsoft in contacting potential investors and will be helped to accelerate the achievement of business objectives. To participate in the call, the application must be sent by 25 October by connecting to this site.  

The interest in startups, however, is not limited to Generali, but also involves other large Italian groups. The second edition of the program INCENSE (INternet Cleantech ENablers Spark), the accelerator dedicated to the companies of clean technology supported by the EU Commission through the FIWARE program and launched, among others, by Enel, in fact met with great success and closed with a total of 257 applications from Europe and Israel.

The selection phase will lead to the choice of up to 28 candidates who will become part of the accelerator, in addition to the 14 startups selected during the first call, for a total of 42 startups that will each receive up to 150 thousand euros without the obligation to participate in the capital
