Generali with Fedora: philanthropy for the Opera

Generali and Fedora together for the Fedora–Generali Prize for Opera, which aims to support young talents and operatic creations
of excellence. The winners will be announced on Saturday 3 June 2017, on the occasion of the performance of La Sylphide at the Salzburg Festival, a ballet featuring the ballet corps of the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.

Fedora – The European Circle of Opera and Ballet Philanthropists – is a privately funded non-profit organization, founded in Paris in January 2014 under the presidency of JérômeFrançois Zieseniss. As a tribute to Rolf Liebermann, the well-known composer and ex-conductor of
some of the major opera houses, Fedora is committed to supporting and contributing to the future of opera and ballet with the FEDORA – Van Cleef & Arpels Award for Ballet and the Fedora–Generali Award for Opera. The mission of the association is to nurture a continuous renewal and development of these artistic forms. To date, Fedora unites 72 opera houses, ballet companies, festivals and friendly associations under its banner, as well as individual and corporate benefactors in 19 countries.

“Generali – explained the CEO of the Group, Philippe Donnet – is actively involved in the promotion of initiatives which aim not only to preserve and support the culture and musical heritage but also to promote creativity, talent and innovation. Generali considers this commitment a lifestyle: a way of being that has the power to change and transform countries, businesses and the entire community”.
