From 1 January 2016 Generali will have a new organizational structure, establishing new key roles concerning the governance of the business at country level and the supervision of relations with supervision of relations with authorities, institutions and associations, but also greater focus and simplification of activities .

As Philippe Donnet, country manager and CEO of Generali Italia explains, the new organization will allow the group's new strategy to be implemented in our country, "we aim to strengthen our leadership in the Italian insurance market through the simplification of customer relations and industrial processes ”. 

Going into detail, Andrea Mencattini will be the new chief governance of insurance subsidiaries, business development & institutional relations officer, a role that aims to ensure the monitoring and coordination of the activities of the insurance companies controlled by the group. Mauro Montagnini, current chief property & casualty officer, following a proposal to the executive committee of Ania, will be proposed the function of head of the non-life area. 

Marco Sesana will instead lead the new Insurance & Operations structure, with the aim of ensuring greater coordination and optimization of business lines and operations. Lastly, Giancarlo Bosser will have the task of leading the Life & Employee Benefits business. Confirm other company responsibilities and related reporting lines.

Changes also in Generali Deutschland. The German company has accelerated the restructuring process, with the aim of returning to the holding company more than 300 million euros distributed in 2014. Christoph Glockner, former head of human resources and administration of Generali Deutschland, has been appointed member of the management of Cosmo, a company dedicated to the direct sale of Life insurance with premiums of 2,5 billion euro and market leader in direct distribution.

Meanwhile, Claudia Andersch has been named interim CEO of Cosmo, also retaining her role as head of the company's Life division, while Mirko Tillman, head of strategy, will join Central's board.
