Generali, Caltagirone and Del Vecchio reinforce their share

The falling stock exchanges of recent times have allowed Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone and Leonardo Del Vecchio to continue their purchases on Generali shares.

After the purchases made between 15 and 16 October last, the owner of Luxottica and the Roman builder and publisher have put in their portfolio other shares of the Lion, bought on the market between 16 and 17 October.

In particular, Del Vecchio, through Delfin, purchased 697 thousand shares of Leone, equal to approximately 0,045% of the share capital. The Caltagirone group instead bought 710 thousand, equal to about 0,044% of the capital. This is confirmed by internal dealing sources of Borsa Italiana.

Del Vecchio thus moves to around 3,4% and the Caltagirone group to over 4,4%. The maneuvers within the shareholding structure of Generali - which on 21 November 2018 will present the new industrial plan signed by CEO Philippe Donnet in Milan - are also intensifying in view of the next April deadline, when the shareholders' meeting will have to renew the entire board of directors.

Today the stock closed on the Stock Exchange at 14,01 euros, down 1,58% compared to yesterday. In the last month however, it has lost more than 7% against an 8,3% drop in the Ftse Mib index.
