Third quarter with growing profits for General Electric: +18%. The company said today, adding that earnings reached $2,34 billion, or $0,22 per share, compared with $1,98 billion, or 18 cents per share, a year ago.
The results include the cost of 8 cents per share for the buyback of the shares that the largest US conglomerate had sold to Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway (BRka.n) during the financial crisis. In the pre-stock market the stock is up slightly.
