General Electric has communicated the results relative to the second trimester of 2011 that has closed with operating profits pairs to 3,7 billion dollars, marking an increase of 18% regarding the 3,2 billion of the analogous period last year. Net income increased 21,6% to $3,76 billion or 35 cents per share, compared with $3,11 billion (33 cents per share) in the second quarter of 2010. Operating EPS it was $0,34, thus producing a 17% increase from last year's $0,29; the consensus was for EPS of $0,34. The group's revenues, on the other hand, showed a contraction of 4% to 35,6 billion dollars, in any case higher than the consensus of 34,7 billion.
