Countdown to the 35th edition of “Gelato a Primavera” and the 24th European Artisanal Gelato Day set for XNUMX March. Numerous initiatives that will animate, between taste, solidarity and culture, all of Italy and Europe. To kick off, "Gelato a Primavera", the event that every year since 1986 sees for for an entire week, ice cream makers from all over Italy offer ice cream to elementary and nursery school pupils to promote one of the most loved and excellent Made in Italy products. And then promotional initiatives, presentations, solidarity events will animate the period preceding the Gelato Day in Italy and abroad.
The presentation event also anticipates Gelato Day of the 22th edition of the European Artisan Gelato Day, which will be held on March XNUMX at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels, and which will be followed, in the afternoon, by a Liege, the press conference dedicated to Gelato Day organized by the association of gelato makers ARAGF and the tasting of the Flavor of the Year: Apfelstrudel.
The Flavor of the Year chosen by Austria will be the absolute star of March 24, the XI European Day of Artisanal Gelato: all participating ice cream parlors in Italy and Europe will offer it to their patrons, in its original recipe or in creative variations, and, among these, also the excellences awarded by Gambero Rosso's Gelaterie d'Italia 2023 Guide, partner of this eleventh edition of Gelato Day. Numerous ice cream parlors will celebrate Gelato Day by organizing initiatives aimed at promoting the culture of artisan gelato.

The supply chain indicates some priority for the sector, including the establishment of a ministerial supply chain table dedicated to artisanal gelato, greater investment in training with an offer of ad hoc courses within hotel management institutes, concrete support for the internationalization activities of companies, often small size, and a strategy based on trade agreements that allow free trade, the reduction of duties and bureaucratic simplification.
