Gallarate: Women's Literature Festival

From 28 to 31 May 2015, the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate hosts the fifth edition of SI Scrittrici Insieme: Women's Literature Festival.

Gallarate: Women's Literature Festival

An important moment of discussion, fun and exchange of ideas thanks to the love for books of its current promoters: the doctor Silvana Baldini, the bookseller Anna Carù, the photographer Chiara Cicciocioppo, the entrepreneur Rosi Garda and the writer Helena Janeczek.

Born in 2011, on the initiative of Emilio Paccioretti, the small literary festival, originally hosted in the beautiful setting of Villa Montevecchio in Samarate, has grown over time with the participation of famous and prestigious storytellers and essayists, newcomers to the limelight, rediscovered writers of the past by the passion and expertise of today's female readers, and a curious and loyal audience.

SI Scrittrici Insieme was also open to music, photography and cinema from the outset, as well as to the beauty of the exchange between writers and women writers. The lightness and authenticity of the dialogue as a hallmark of the festival has created harmonies that find a moment of convivial pleasure in the aperitifs in concert curated by Anna and Paolo Carù.
Varied and innovative, the 2015 program will feature Rosita Missoni and Inge Feltrinelli, Daria Bignardi, Laura Pariani as protagonists, and will pay special tribute to Grazia Livi and Lalla Romano.
Through their books, other authors will talk about domestic violence or love for cats, will lead to the discovery of the origins of worldly gossip and will offer a behind-the-scenes look at editorial work.
There will be "duets" such as the one between the award-winning writer Giorgio Falco and Sabrina Ragucci, an artist exhibited at the Biennale, the reading with Franco Buffoni and Francesca Matteoni, as well as the recital on texts by Cecilia Resio curated by Federica Fracassi, one of the greatest actresses of the our theatre, accompanied by the violinist Piercarlo Sasso and created ad hoc for Scrittrici Insieme.

The fifth edition, with the artistic direction of Silvana Baldini and Helena Janeczek, will be held for the first time at the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate from 28 to 31 May with a loving return to Villa Montevecchio on the evening of 28 May.
During the days of the Festival from 18.00 to 21.00 reduced admission (€ 5,00) to the exhibition MISSONI, ART, COLORE, scheduled at the MA*GA until 8 November. Saturday 30 May reduced admission (€ 5,00) from 15.00 to 21.00.
