A distinction must be made in the world of photography, there are images that enter the auction market and others that are not, which are presented directly to the collector by specialized galleries. The exposure GABRIEL BASIL | METROPOLIS held at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome - open until 13 April 2020 - is curated by Giovanna Calvenzi and Filippo Maggia and is promoted by Roma Capitale - Department of Cultural Growth - Palaexpo Special Company - Made in collaboration with the Gabriele Archive Basil. “The exhibition analyzes these themes by comparing the works created in the numerous cities portrayed, including Beirut, Milan, Rome, Palermo, Naples, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Jerusalem, London, Boston, Tel Aviv , Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, New York, Shanghai, juxtaposed according to similarities and differences, assonances and dissonances, different points of view in the way of interpreting and relating the built space”.
