G20, understood only on trade

An agreement in favor of free trade and against protectionism emerged from the Hamburg summit. On the climate issue, on the other hand, we continue, as happened in the last meeting, without an agreement with the United States. Waiting for the Trump-May meeting. Meanwhile, the German city continues to be armored due to clashes between protesters and police

G20, understood only on trade

While Hamburg is now under siege of demonstrators and black blocks, Saturday morning saw the achievement of a second agreement during the summit between the 20 world powers.

After the agreement Trump-Putin on the partial truce in Syria, in fact, the leaders of the G20 have found a compromise on free trade. Countries will commit to Fight protectionism but they will still have defense tools at their disposal to protect their markets. It is therefore a meeting point between the will of European countries and the policies of Donald Trump.

However, the greats of the earth remain divided on the issue of climate change. The Paris agreements are confirmed - considered "irreversible" - and at the same time theexclusion of the United States from those decisions. The critical point in the closing statement concerns fossil fuels, accused of contributing to global warming. The Americans intend to continue exporting them and promoting their use.

During the last day of the summit there will be a Trump-May bilateral meeting, while the premier Gentiloni he will be engaged in a meeting with the Indian leader Narendra Modi.
