G20 Hamburg, clashes with demonstrators

In Hamburg, where the G20 summit begins today, since yesterday there have been clashes between protesters - no global and black block, many with their faces covered - and the forces of order, who have used water cannons to disperse people. For their part, the anti-G20 demonstrators had thrown bricks and bottles at the agents, breaking a glass of an armored car. There are already dozens of people stopped or arrested. Several officers injured.

Police said they repeatedly asked a group of protesters to take off their masks. Upon their refusal, the agents decided to separate the group in question from the other thousands of demonstrators with water cannons.

More than 100 demonstrators are expected in these days for the protests against the summit, which includes working sessions of world leaders for two days. The tension will come to a head on Saturday morning, when a parade is scheduled.
