FT: Tsipras accepts EU-IMF proposals with minor corrections

Alexis Tsipras would have accepted the bailout conditions requested by international creditors. The Financial Times website wrote that the Greek premier would have sent a message during the night a letter to Brussels in which he said he was ready to subscribe to most of the proposed conditions by the EU and the IMF last weekend and proposing only minor corrections.

"The Hellenic Republic is ready to accept this technical agreement with the following amendments, additions and clarifications, in the context of an extension of the EFSF program and the new ESM loan for which a request was made today, 30 June", reads in Tsipras' letter, which also contains further details on the Greek request of a new bailout plan worth 29,1 billion euros through the European State-saving fund ESM.

According to the letter reported by FT, Greece accepts the VAT reform (subject to a 30% discount for the Greek Islands) e that of pensions (but asks to be able to start the progressive increase in the retirement age in October instead of immediately, which will reach 67 by 2022). Finance ministers will have a discussion today in the Eurogroup, which has been postponed to 17pm.

In the wake of these rumors, mid-morning the Milan Stock Exchange accelerates suddenly, reaching a rise of 2,4%. They also run Frankfurt (+ 2,3%) and Paris (+ 2,7%).

Meanwhile, it cools down the spread between Btp and Bund ten-year bonds, down to around 140 basis points after opening at 155.
