From September, new itineraries from Rome to Val d'Orcia, Langhe and Assisi aboard renovated vintage trains. A journey through historic villages, suggestive landscapes and local flavors. Tickets already available on Trenitalia

Fs Treni Turistici launches new connections from Rome to Tuscany, Umbria and Piedmont

Fs Italian Tourist Trains expands its offering in view of autumn 2025. The FS Group company, specialized in tourist rail travel, introduces new thematic itineraries starting from Rome towards some of the most appreciated Italian regions from a cultural and landscape point of view.

Starting three connections will be activated from September on board completely renovated historic trains, designed to promote slow, sustainable tourism aimed at discovering the area. Toscana, Umbria e Piemonte will be the new destinations, reachable by vintage trains designed to offer an immersive and authentic experience, far from the frenetic pace and mass tourism.

The initiative aims to enhance local excellence, combining suggestive landscapes, cities of art and important food and wine events. Tickets can already be purchased on the website of Fs Tourist Trains and on all the Trenitalia channels.

Espresso Val d'Orcia: Tuscan villages and landscapes every weekend

From September 6th to December 1st, every Saturday and Sunday will depart from Rome Termini onVal d'Orcia Express, bound for Siena. The train, departing at 7:42 and arriving at 13:20, will pass through some of the most iconic locations in Maremma and inland Tuscany: Tarquinia, Capalbio, Orbetello, Grosseto, Monte Amiata, Torrenieri Montalcino, among others.

The round trip in one day allows you to comfortably discover the Val d'Orcia and its historic villages, declared a UNESCO heritage site, offering an authentic experience among hilly landscapes, fine wines and local traditions.

Espresso Langhe-Monferrato: a weekend in the kingdom of truffles

From October 19 to November 28 will be active onLanghe-Monferrato Express, departing from Rome every Friday at 19:57 and arriving in Alba on Saturday morning, in time to visit the International White Truffle Fair. The train will make intermediate stops in Acqui Terme, Nizza Monferrato and Asti.

Il Return is scheduled for Sunday at 18pm, offering an entire weekend in the Langhe. This is a connection designed for an audience interested in high-level food and wine, in one of the most renowned areas in Italy for wine and typical products.

Espresso Assisi: Sundays between spirituality and Umbrian beauties

Starting from October 5th to December 7th, every Sunday will be operational onAssisi Express, with an itinerary that crosses Umbria and Tuscany up to Arezzo. The route touches some of the destinations most charged with spiritual and artistic value in Central Italy, in a journey designed for an audience sensitive to the cultural and religious dimension of the territory.

Tickets and promotional offers

Tickets are available on all official Trenitalia channels, with active promotions designed to encourage bookings: TTI Special, with a 25% discount for those who purchase within 48 hours of departure, and TTI Groups, reserved for groups of at least ten people.

With this new programming, FS Treni Turistici Italiani strengthens its role in the valorization of the Italian heritage, proposing an alternative, experiential and integrated railway mobility with the local tourist fabric.
