Terna and FS have signed a non-binding agreement "which starts the process to evaluate the potential acquisition by Terna of the high and very high voltage electricity transmission grids currently owned by the FS group". This is what we read in a note from the company that manages the national electricity grid.
The agreement provides for the start of the due diligence on the perimeter of the acquisition, after which the parties will start negotiations to define the terms of the operation, "which could be completed by the summer of 2015".
The perimeter of the acquisition and the economic conditions "may be determined by the parties in the continuation of the negotiation, also on the basis, and in any case not before, of the decisions by the Electricity Authority relating to the electricity networks to be acquired", concludes the note.
