Fs: Rfi obtains certification in asset management

Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (FS Italiane Group), manager of the national railway infrastructure, has obtained the certification of the management system of asset companies, in accordance with the international standard ISO 55001.

This is the first and only certification obtained in Italy, through Accredia, for the management of asset materials. On an international level, the FS Italiane Group company ranks among the first railway infrastructure managers to boast such recognition, in consideration of the vast extension of the managed railway network, over 16.700 km, around 2.000 stations and 26.000 employees.

The main benefits of an inventory management system asset integrated and optimized include return on investment and stable growth, long-range planning and performance sustainability, improved risk management and governance business, ability to demonstrate choices as best in cost/benefit terms within a regulated financing system, as well as overall improvement in customer satisfaction.

The ISO 55001 standard provides the requirements for an efficient and integrated asset management system, capable of facilitating organizations in optimizing the availability and profitability of their assets throughout the entire life cycle, from acquisition to disposal.

The certification obtained is part of a broader strategy, in line with the Group's 2019-2023 Business Plan, which through an asset-centric approach aims to further ensure efficient management of the network and create value, both internally and within the Company and towards stakeholder.
