FS: agreement reached with the unions. 2.000 new hires and ticket increase

After weeks of negotiations, an agreement was finally reached with the trade union organizations: an increase in the amount of tickets and 2.000 new hires. A memorandum of understanding was also signed with Mit and Mim to promote collaboration between schools and businesses

Il Ferrovie dello Stato Group (FS) and its subsidiary Trenitalia have reached a agreement with the unions – Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Ugl Ferrovieri, Slm Fast Confsal and Orsa Ferrovie. The agreement reached positively concludes the long negotiations of the last few weeks between the parties involved.

The amount of the ticket for all Group workers has been raised

The agreement provides for a increase in the ticket amount to 10,50 Euros for all workers of Group companies who are subject to the CCNL Mobilità/Area AF and the FS Italiane Group company contract. This measure is aimed at supporting and involving workers, considering the socio-economic context and current challenges, and aligns with previously shared actions in 2022.

2.000 new hires expected

Recognizing the strategic importance of human resources in the development of Trenitalia, the company communicated to the Trade Union Organizations a hiring plan total for 2023, forecasting approx 2.000 new entries. The company and the union shared concrete actions in favor of crew and commercial personnel.

Furthermore, an evolution of the sales and assistance organizational model is planned to increase customer proximity.

The dialogue between the parties will continue after the summer break.

Training: agreement between the Fs and the Ministries for collaboration between schools and businesses

FS has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding triennial with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) and the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIM) aimed at improving the alignment between the skills required by businesses and those provided by educational pathways. The agreement promotes initiatives of collaboration between schools and businesses to identify practical solutions to this problem.

The agreement provides different activities, including information, dialogue and co-planning of training courses aimed at occupational needs. Projects will be developed with schools and regions in order to create more integrated vocational training. The aim is to gradually close the gap between the skills required by companies and those acquired at school, raising awareness of future job opportunities. Also, they will come training courses are promoted based on laboratory teaching to develop strategic skills. The agreement also provides for monitoring of the experiences and results obtained by the Ministries.
