FS, Mazzoncini: Ipo for subsidiaries after merger with Anas

The CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato announces that in September the industrial plan that will be presented to the market will also contain the merger with Anas. But for the quotation the focus is on the subsidiaries and not on the entire group

The industrial plan that Ferrovie dello Stato will present at the end of September will contain the merger with Anas and some hypotheses for the listing of group subsidiaries.

To say it, in a meeting with journalists on the sidelines of the Ambrosetti workshop, was the CEO of the group Renato Mazzoncini.

“There will be a plan with Anas,” said Mazzoncini, specifying that the two companies worked together with Treasury technicians on the technical details in June and July.

"On the quotation, it is more a matter of scope than of timing", said Mazzoncini, explaining that the industrial plan contains some hypotheses and that the idea is to proceed in 2017.

"I can say that no spin-off is foreseen", he added, adding that the aim is to list one or more subsidiaries and not the entire group.

In recent months, the FS listing project already failed in 2016 both due to the change at the top of the group and to the disagreements within the government and FS over whether or not to list the railway network as well.
