European Ambassador for Diversity, with the task of promoting the strategy of inclusion in the transport sector. This is the appointment that the European Commissioner for Transport, Violeta Bulc, has conferred on the managing director and general manager of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Gianfranco Battisti.
The nomination is in recognition of FS's contribution to the Platform for Change (Platform for change), established by the European Commission in 2017 with the aim of strengthening female employment (currently equal to 22% in the sector) and equal opportunities for men and women working in transport.
