FS Italiane and the Consumers' Association have signed a memorandum of understanding: here are the details

Italian Fs and Associations of consumers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening the relationship of mutual collaboration between the parties, also in relation to the 2022/2031 Business Plan of the FS Italiane Group.

The objectives of the Agreement - explains a note from the Group - were illustrated in a meeting attended by the CEO of the FS Group Luigi Ferraris, the chief corporate affairs of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Massimo Bruno, and representatives of consumer associations. "Among the main points of the agreement - continues the note - is the commitment that FS assumes towards the Associations in terms of dialogue, comparison and collaboration understood as elements of added value in the decision-making processes, as well as in the organization of periodic meetings aimed at promoting the sharing of information useful for identifying collective needs linked to FS activities, promoting where necessary dialogue with the competent institutional bodies, companies and Group poles (Infrastructures, Passengers, Logistics and Urban)”.

The following signed up for the memorandum of understanding signed today with Ferrovie dello Stato: ACU; adiconsum; Adoc; Adusbef; Other consumption; Absolute users; Consumer House; active citizenship; CTCU; Codacons; Codes; Confconsumatori APS; Consumer federation; Consumer League; Consumer Movement; Citizen Defense Movement; U.Di.Con. ODA; National Consumer Union.

Dialogue and periodic meetings at the center of the actions

Among the actions to be carried out along the path outlined by the memorandum of understanding, attention to joint initiatives communication and promotion of social, economic and environmental sustainability; the study and analysis of solutions for improving the quality of services through the involvement of the Group companies concerned; information on the objectives of the FS Group's Business Plan and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) in the context of national mobility.

As for the meetings will be held by establishing a permanent table of consultation, convened on a quarterly basis or on the initiative of the parties. The table may also be supported by working groups made up of representatives of the FS companies based on the business area covered by the issues to be discussed.
