There are 450 innovative ideas on sustainability proposed by FS Italiane employees as part of the second edition of Innovate, a project created to promote corporate entrepreneurship. Themes such as mobility, safety, energy and emissions are at the center of the proposals.
The 10 most voted ideas were developed by five teams during the Innovate 2020 Boot Camp held on 22 and 23 January 2020 at Officine Farneto. The teams will now have to develop the projects in agile mode, together with mentors, evaluating the technical and economic feasibility also through the use of demonstrators and Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
"I noticed a great energy in the proposals of the competing teams", underlined Gianfranco Battisti, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the FS Italiane Group.
“The ideas – continued the manager – are very interesting because all the working groups have well understood how much sustainability and innovation, priorities of the 2019-2023 Business Plan, are important for the Group. Innovate is a stimulating laboratory of ideas and an exciting appointment. It's a great way to promote innovative industrial processes within the company. We strongly believe in technological development especially as regards relationships with people. The digitization of the value chain, or the possibility of notifying travelers through new individual communication tools, is a fundamental aspect for us".
