Fs: Busitalia goes shopping in Holland

The signing for the acquisition of Qbuzz, a Dutch public transport services company, was signed by Busitalia today in Rome.

The closing of the transaction will take place at the end of the required procedural and authorization process, as well as after the go-ahead from the Dutch Consumer and Market Authority (ACM).

The agreement was signed by Renato Mazzoncini Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of FS Italiane, Stefano Rossi Chief Executive Officer of Busitalia, Joerek Kohutnicki for Dutch Railways and Angelique Magielse Chief Executive Officer of Abellio Nederland.

In the Netherlands Qbuzz, a company owned by Abellio Nederland, controlled by Dutch Railways, manages local public transport in the metropolitan area of ​​Ultrecht and in the province of Groningen-Drenthe.

Qbuzz, one of the main operators on the Dutch market, has a turnover of approximately 190 million euros, a fleet of 614 buses (including electric buses) and 26 trams and transports 160 passengers a day.

The acquisition of Qbuzz is consistent with the internationalization process of the FS Group envisaged in the 2017-2026 Business Plan.
