Approximately 16% of the bond will finance the purchase of the Pop and Rock regional trains under the new service contract signed by Trenitalia and the Emilia-Romagna Region. The securities, issued under FS Italiane's 4,5 billion euro EMTN programme, were rated BBB by Fitch and BBB by S&P's, along with the issuer rating.

With this operation, the amount of bonds issued by FS Italiane, under the EMTN Programme, reaches 3 billion and 750 million euros.
