Alstom and the Ansaldo Breda-Caf consortium are ahead, according to what Radiocor learns, in the tender for the supply of the new Trenitalia regional trains. After the evaluation of the technical offers, carried out in recent days, and the 'reconnaissance of the economic offers', which took place today, the Ansaldo Breda-Caf consortium appears to be in the lead for the lot of 20 double-deck electric trains; the French Alstom would instead prevail for the other two lots, the 70 single-deck electric trains and the 40 diesel trains.
Bombardier also participated in the tender for the single-deck train lot. The reconnaissance of the offers, as specified by FS, 'is not equivalent to an award, Trenitalia reserving the right to quickly evaluate the overall adequacy of the offers received'. Fs does not comment on the news.
