From Masterchef to supermarkets: here are the Km0 micro-greens

The new frontier of food is to grow some vegetables directly in stores and restaurants, thanks to a technology that reduces emissions and multiplies the nutraceutical properties - the novelty already tested in the famous TV format.

Small vegetables grown directly inside a supermarket window, all year round, without the use of fertilizers and pesticides and indeed through an innovative irrigation and lighting system (called C-LED) which reduces CO2 emissions compared to cultivation traditional. You can't get more Km0 than this: the food revolution comes from a technological company from Imola, Cefla, and has already conquered none other than a TV program like Masterchef.

In fact, even the most widespread format in the world has begun to use the "mobile-showcase" in this edition, called the Grow Unit, where the microgreens useful for the various recipes grow indoors all year round, thanks to an innovative technology that uses scientifically tested lamps to speed up the growth of vegetables and allow fruit to ripen even in winter. The showcase, thanks to its multiple configurations and dimensional variations, can adapt to different retail environments such as supermarkets but also restaurants.

An absolute novelty therefore both for the user, in terms of greater attention to the freshness and quality of the services offered, both for the world of retail, catering and supermarkets, as an added value brought to the consumers' shopping experience also thanks to the introduction of a furnishing solution that can be considered captivating and of design inside the point of sale.

And that's not all: these microgreens, in addition to being fresh and tasty, have shown exceptional organoleptic and nutraceutical properties, containing vitamins up to 40 times higher than normal vegetables.
