Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has signed a senior unsecured bonds da 140 million of euros of Credit Agricultural Auto bank, the proceeds of which will finance the purchase of 5 thousand low-emission vehicles by Italian SMEs and Mid-Caps. The operation aims to accelerate the transition ecologica also in the automotive sector.
In detail, explains a note, the funds made available by the Cassa will be entirely used by Crédit Agricole Auto Bank for new funding for an amount of up to 10 million and a duration of no less than 12 months to support SMEs and Mid-Caps with registered and/or operational headquarters in Italy. The resources will be allocated to the purchase of over 5 thousand low emission vehicles such as euro 6D (excluding diesel), electric models, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid and alternative propulsion (LPG or methane) for energy saving. At least 51% of the funds will be allocated to SMEs.
From the point of view of the Mef spa led by Dario Scannapieco, the project is consistent with the priorities identified by the CDP Guidelines which provide for the strengthening of indirect support for investments and growth plans of SMEs by encouraging their access to credit as envisaged by the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
