The uncertainty of the markets continues to fuel rumors of a possible downgrade by the American rating agencies – Despite an improvement in the last few hours, the spread remains very high by Paris standards – On the stock market, the Cac 40 struggles, in a regime of high volatility.

The tension continues to rise in France. The difficulties encountered in recent days on the financial front inevitably have repercussions on the real economy, especially as regards the level of trust among entrepreneurs. According to the French National Statistics Institute (Insee), in November the indicator calculated for this variable dropped again to 95 points, from the 97 recorded the previous month.

Total orders and demand remain unchanged at -19, while foreign orders worsen to -26. The index on general production prospects fell to -35, while that on personal production prospects recorded a decrease of up to -6 points.

Meanwhile, the temperature on the public debt front continues to remain high, fueling rumors about a future one rating cut by the main American agencies. In short, Paris seems destined to lose the prestigious triple A and this suspicion can only cause landslides on the stock and bond markets.

The transalpine spread it is still beyond the danger level (above 160 basis points), even if in the first hours of trading it dropped by 10 points compared to last night's close.

At the same time too the Paris stock exchange struggling to take a specific path. In a highly volatile regime, the Cac 40 hovers around parity by mid-morning, after having opened in negative territory.
