France: Cazeneuve new prime minister

After the resignation of Manuel Valls, aiming for the 2017 presidential elections, the new prime minister of France is Bernard Cazeneuve, who has so far held the position of Minister of the Interior.

He was the first choice of the current President of the Republic, Francois Hollande, to replace Valls. However, some reservations remained on the state of emergency in force in France and so far managed personally by Cazeneuve.

A lawyer by training, not too leftist, Cazeneuve had announced his intention to return to his profession after the end of his experience with the government. Instead, now he will have to preside over the government, subject to a mini-reshuffle.

Particularly Bruno Le Roux, up to now Socialist group leader in the National Assembly, was appointed by President Francois Hollande as the new Minister of the Interior in Cazeneuve's place.

Andre Valliniinstead, he became undersecretary for relations with Parliament in place of Jean-Marie Le Guen, who was appointed undersecretary for development and the Francophonie.
