The review, entitled 1921/2021. Tribute to Joseph Beuys. Portraits, photographic sequences and location shots, presents the images that the Brescian photographer Renato Corsini took in Beuys' home-studio in Düsseldorf, during the meeting, which took place on 6 June 1980, between the German artist and the critic Pierre Restany.

Renato Corsini documented with over 200 shots the various stages of the debate, which lasted two hours, which allowed Restany to publish an interview which had the merit of deepening Joseph Beuys's themes and vision of contemporary art.

Complete the exhibition itinerary, a section that proposes some works by Albano Morandi (Salò, 1958), who has always been attentive and close to Beuysian contents and who in 2007 participated in the 52nd Venice Biennale in the collateral events of "Joseph Beuys Difesa della Natura".

The initiative is part of the fourth edition of the Brescia Photo Festival, scheduled from 8 May to 17 October 2021, curated by Renato Corsini and promoted by the Municipality of Brescia and the Brescia Museums Foundation with the collaboration of MaCof - Center of Italian photography.

This year's theme, Heritage, is connected to the celebrations for the return to Brescia of the Winged Victory, one of the most extraordinary bronze statues of the Roman era, spokesperson for the cultural value and identity of the city's heritage, after two years of restoration by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence.
