“The current market scenario, characterized by high volatility and zero interest rates, has created disorientation among savers in planning their financial assets. If historically Italians were used to managing their savings with government bonds or deposit accounts, now they have understood how fundamental diversification is and, in particular, entrusting the management of their investments to professionals, whose role is becoming increasingly central". . This was stated yesterday by Alessandro Foti, CEO and managing director of Fineco, during a meeting with consultants and savers in Padua.
“This means – added Foti – that consultancy becomes essential. Consulting based on three pillars: first of all, the professional needs to bring out the life goals and the time horizon of his client. Secondly, the diversification of the portfolio is fundamental, while the third point lies in the management of the customer's emotions”.
The latter, according to Foti, “is a fundamental element especially in market phases such as the current one, characterized by very high volatility. The consultant's task is to guide clients in cases of irrational and short-term reactions of the markets in the face of individual events to avoid decisions taken on the wave of emotion that risk jeopardizing a financial planning designed and built for the medium to long term".
