Forza Italia, Berlusconi: "Those who don't fit, go away"

Il Cavaliere in a letter to the parliamentarians: “It is essential to remain united and work together. I don't understand the divisions. Tomorrow will be an opportunity to confront and discuss. As is done in every family. Everyone will bring their own ideas”.

Forza Italia, Berlusconi: "Those who don't fit, go away"

“Those who do not believe in Forza Italia are free to leave”. Silvio Berlusconi doesn't give up and less than 24 hours from the decisive national council for the PDL – which will undergo a reverse metamorphosis in the old party – raises again against Angelino Alfano and his governments. In short, the official break is a more than concrete hypothesis.

Along with the gauntlet, however, the Knight also pulls a lifesaver: “It is essential to remain united and work together – reads a letter sent by the former Premier to the Pidiellini MPs –, I don't understand the divisions. Tomorrow will be an opportunity to confront and discuss. As is done in every family. Everyone will bring his ideas. Everyone is called to make his own contribution to the common design. With civility, without prejudices, without second thoughts. Tomorrow from the stage of the national council I will repeat what I have already said over and over again, until you drop. Forza Italia is everyone's home, for those who helped found it, for those who worked hard to make it grow, for those who joined it or will decide, I hope, to join it in the near future".

Meanwhile, today Berlusconi once again received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Maurizio Lupi at Palazzo Grazioli. All the pro-government parliamentarians will meet at 16.30 pm to discuss the meeting with the Knight as well as his message.

On Tuesday, Alfano had set the Cavaliere two conditions to heal the rift: the new party will have to have a democratic structure (assignments, candidacies and positions to be established with the primaries, without prejudice to Berlusconi's untouchable leadership) and above all the Letta government will have to survive even after the forfeiture of the former Premier from Parliament.

If a favorable response to these requests had arrived by 12 today, the government would have agreed to join Forza Italia, “but it wasn't there tonight and it wasn't there this morning – confirmed Senator Roberto Formigoni -. We are about to meet and we will make our decisions ”.
