A serious and severe fight against tax evasion is needed, but we are almost becoming a country of tax tormentors. Thus the Minister of Labour, Elsa Fornero, who speaking with the students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Turin said that "the institutions must collect taxes, it is a duty that must be affirmed in a country that has a consistent tradition of tax evasion fiscal".
“The Government has begun in a serious way to combat tax evasion, but we cannot put the proceeds into it a budget because Europe does not allow it. The proceeds will thus be used to reduce the deficit, the debt and something I hope for families, even if there won't be enough to support multi-year programmes. The spending review will be very tough, we will cut unproductive public spending and waste”.
